The Much Wenlock Classic is a medium sized Solid Fuel and Wood stove with a nominal heat output of 5.5kW (with a maximum output of 8.3kW).The new Aga Much Wenlock Classic stove has an incredible 77% efficiency. It is suitable for burning wood, coal, anthracite and peat briquettes. It has a removable shaker grate, ash pan, fire fence and front ash-tray. As well as being simple and easy to use, it can be left to burn overnight, so that you can come down to a lovely warm room in the morning. It has the same chrome wire handle and air inlet control as the Little Wenlock and will look equally at home in a traditional or contemporary setting.

May 25th, 2011It is so great to have a real fire apart from the very coldest spell we only ever had the central heating on in order to keep the boiler ticking over. So homely and very therapeutic to have a woodfire so much so even in the warmer weather we find an excuse to light it for a while!!! : ) and has been a real talking point. great service as well very helpful and friendly definitely would recommend, in facthave several times already.

June 7th, 2011This is our 4th wood burner and after two ‘other’ makes we opted for the Little Wenlock and have not looked back since. But why waste heat up the chimney when you can heat water with it ?!!. so we brought a Much Wenlock with back boiler. It keeps our house warm and heats the domestic hot water as a bonus. Will burn anything with no complaints. Generous size fire box makes refulling a job even the dog can do….well almost…he carries the sticks up the field!! Very controllable – stops in overnight with minimum fuel, easy to de ash and to get roaring hot!!No fidley bits to break. The flue and back boiler surfaces are easy to clean.Built to last cast iron, best of British design and timeless looks. With black lead finish my wife keeps it looking like new. Kids love roasting chestnuts and toasting bread and crumpets with the door open….no smoke…We even cook on it ……..
Could not manage without it and where ever we move in the future a Much Wenlock will be an essential item…………….
