Both me and my wife looked at alot of stoves and questioned staff at fires on line to gain information , who were extreamley helpful in helping us make our decision. The Jotul F100 multifuel stove is perfect as it gives the customer the ability to burn either solid fuel or wood/logs. Once installed it certainley doesnt take long to heat up and provide heat and warmth to the living room where it is installed. It is very easy to use and has stunning looks with a beautifull classic design and patterning. The “Airwash” and “Cleanburn” system does exactly what it states and i have very rarely had to clean the glass to the fire.It is over a year old now and still looks and performs as good as it did when i first lit it over a year ago. The only thing that i would improve on it if i could, is the controlability of keeping the fire in over night on a low setting which is pretty tricky, otherwise it is an alround stove that certainly is not dissapointing and gets lots of comments from people who visit our home. Thanks again for the help and advice.

Great little stove. This saved our lives this winter when our oil ran out.

I should probably have gone for a larger model given the size of the room that it is heating (make sure you read the manufacturers recommendations on output.

It takes a while to get really hot but once it is going it will stay warm all night. On max burn it will get through two bags of logs in an evening easily.

The door handle mechanism gets in the way some times if you have wood stored next to the stove (which you shouldn’t). The ash pan is a little flimsy and also fiddly to get out given that you have to lift the bottom grate to get at it. Also it has a strange uncomfortable tool for lifting the ash pan out.

The door glass does blacken when the fire is getting going, but the glass seems to clean itself when the stove is on full blast so I guess the airwash feature works.

Other than that it is all good and carbon neutral if you only burn wood.

An excellent small stove – just right for the size of our room. We bought this, our second Jotul, because we were so pleased with the quality of the first one and it hasn’t disappointed. Excellent quality, superb finish and just perfect for our purposes. The only slight problem is that ash removal seems very fiddly – we have a wood only stove – but I would still recommend it.

Fab little stove – looks great and pushes out loads of heat. I bought the temp guide dial too which was worth buying.

The Jotul F100 was recommended by our chimney sweep who was going to be doing the installation. It is our first stove and we went for a more expensive model, as I have always beleived that you get what you pay for.

We wanted a small fire and didn’t want the hassle of fitting a permanent vent and this fire came under the max KW requirement so doesn’t need one

Our fitter could supply the fire for us, but was happy for us to buy on line. We found it on Fires on Line and saved about £80 on the cheapest price that our sweep could get, which was again a huge saving on the shop price.

We opted for the woodburning model as the wood burns better than in the multifuel model, although you lose the flexibility of burning coal. Although as we have a local forest on our doorstep and many friends with trees in their gardens, sourcing free wood will never be a prioblem for us.

We had the added bonus of the free regulator plate and stove pipe from Fires on line. My sweep recommended fitting a 6″ flue rather than a 5″ one and the Jotul came with two collars one of each size so wasn’t a problem.
The 6″ flue creates such a huge draw and makes the fire dead easy to light.

We just twist some newspaper into long screwed up pieces and build a small pyramid shape with a few large dry sticks. One match and within a few minutes we have a roaring fire… never fails.

Very easy to control, with the air vent slider at the top of the fire and an excellent airwash system

It doesn’t have fire bricks inside, so can take slightly longer logs than the other model that we had considered the Douve 250.

Very well built. The glass can get stained with heat if any of the logs are two close to the inside of the glass, however once cold in the morning, a damp cloth dipped into the dry ash, wiped on the glass soon get’s it clean as new.

We leave the ash to build up and once it is about an inch deep remove about 1/2 an inch. We find the wood burns so much better this way

An excellent stove which we are very pleased with and would recommend whole heartedly.

I bought the F100 from Stoves On Line who were very helpful and efficient plus also very competitive.

I fitted the stove myself very straight forward, the only tricky thing is cutting, forming and fitting the registry plate, very tiresome and tedious.

Once the fire was in place it lit first time very easily and looked just like the firs in the showroom. However later it started to smoke, it seemed to be coming out of the side where it joined the top not from any of my joints.

I lit the fire the next day and it has been perfect ever since, can’t work out why it smoked.

It is incredibly easy to use, looks great and gives off terrific heat.

i like this little burner, but it has a major design fault in that the rope on the door has no proper housing, and relies on glue to keep it on. this has to be redone every 3 months or so as the air system short cuts when air gets in through the gaps.
