Had a few problems with the stove arriving heavily damaged due to damage in transit but Fires online eventually sorted this out and were good about communication, I think it was just one of those things but check the pallet as well as the stove packaging for damage when it arrives, our pallet had lost the back feet which should have alerted us to the possibility of damage.

Fire itself is great overall. Being a convector it does a very good job of actually heating the room. Worth noting that because it is both clean burn and a convector the top and sides dont get very hot. In normal operation it takes a very long time to boil a pan of water because the intake air is going over the top of the fire to pre-heat (for clean burning) so this limits how hot the top gets.
This is good in other ways though because the only part that can burn you (or your children) is the door and particularly the glass. Which is more obvious than say the sides which never get too hot to touch.

Unfortunately to achieve clean-burn classification it is impossible to close all air intakes for example in the event of the fire getting a bit out of control, which is nerve racking. We have over fuelled a couple of times and had 20 mins of watching the temperature look alarmingly high and not been able to slow it down by cutting off air. So take extra care not to overfuel and use a thermometer to keep it under control.

Ash pan does not run the full width of the grate so some does tend to escape round the side and build up which is a bit of a job to remove, but it only needs to be doen about once a year (say when cleaning the flu).

If using the top connection for the flu then you can remove the top plates very easily to sweep the chimney through the flu which is a big bonus.

Overall very happy with it, and particularly given the limited choice of convectors would definitely chose it again. And would definitely chose a convector.

We love this stove! We chose it because we needed a compact stove to fit into a small fireplace recess, and we wanted a design that was clean and modern, but not too contemporary.
It’s really well built, with a high standard of finish. As it’s our first stove it’s difficult to make comparisons in terms of the performance, but we have been very happy. It is a smaller stove, so don’t expect it to heat the whole house, but it made a huge difference to our heating oil consumption last winter.
We would really recommend this stove.

Very pleased with this stove, a simple graceful design. No problems with delivery in the post Christmas week. Self-installed in our seaside holiday cabin, free-standing on a hearth which flue rising straight up. The convection arrangement heats two connected rooms well and the lower surface temperature has been a good choice as we have to walk past it between rooms. Always lights first time. Burn efficiency seems very good leaving fine ash. The glass tends to blacken which presumably is the function of the airwash system – I’ve not got the hang of controlling this.
My only issue has been the quality of the twin-walled flue that came from Firesonline. Storm collar without an upstand took some ingenuity to seal leading to leaks at first; fixing nuts to the flue joints not stainless so corroding in the sea air.

We have had the stove for about 6 weeks and are extremely happy with the stove, wish we had bought it years ago!!!
Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
Everyone who sees it is very impressed with it.
We got it instead by the stirling stove centre in stirling, i would recommend them they were very helpful and also very quick with the installation and they eaven cleaned up all the debris.
