Yeoman CL5 Stove
With high efficiency and ‘modern traditional’ styling, the CL5 offers a fresh alternative for heating in today’s homes. Along with the smaller CL3, the CL5 is approved for use in Smoke Control zones, so you can achieve carbon neutral heating with wood wherever your location! It is available in two versions: woodburning only or multi-fuel which incorporates a riddling grate to allow the burning of smokeless fuels. In addition, both versions can be enhanced by the optional decorative cast top which provides even greater elegance with its subtle, curved form.

December 18th, 2011A very efficient stove which looks good and is easy to control. The heat output responds well to the draught controls in providing balanced heat output.
Overall build quality is excellent and it is easy to clean.
The only criticism is the ashpan which should have been made a little bigger.

January 4th, 2012Ok I have lived with the CL5 for a couple of months now. It’s a first for me so I can’t really compare against other stoves.
Plus points
It seems a solid well made product.
it pumps out plenty of heat… too much for me but just right for the missus!
lights easily
easy to control
large viewing window
multifuel. Burns hot as hell with coal
minus points
The only problem is the airwash which needs to be on full pelt for the glass to stay clear, even then it will get a film on it eventually.
Ash pan could be bigger but hey it’s a small stove
small ledge below the window collects ash. open this stove carefully

February 4th, 2012Chosen for its looks it is excelent when burning wood. Its extra width does allow for longer logs but the shallow depth means they have to be of small diameter to fit more than one at a time.
The airwash works well with wood but not with coal.
Using Homefire ovals it will stay alight for more than 12 hours and still be easy to perk up again but using a fuel that leaves so much ash it does overload the ash tray. Also ash will spill out onto the hearth however carefully you rake it.
Although I am happy with the stove I am not sure I would choose it again.
